In 2017, the Maastricht Platform for Community-Engaged Research (MPCER) Fund was established, with the goal of developing a multidisciplinary platform for researchers who want to involve the community in their research. Originating from the desire to create a place where researchers who want to have a positive impact on society can meet. The central theme is ‘community-engaged research’: research that involves the community about whom the study is concerned. The platform provides a place to discuss how to realize this ambition, in relation to topics such as ethics, methodology, funding, result sharing and communication.

In its mission, the fund has more than succeeded, and the platform has proven to be a valuable addition to the academic community. We thank all donors and involved researchers for their valuable contributions! Curious about the platform and the activities that have taken place within the fund over the years?
