At the beginning of October, the winners of the 17th edition of the FIR-PRI ‘Finance and Sustainable Development’ Awards were announced. The award-winning projects cover important themes, such as sustainable investing, climate change, and the measurement of ESG.
This year, the award for Best Published Article was granted to professors Rob Bauer, Tobias Ruof & Paul Smeets (The Maastricht University School of Business and Economics), with their article “Get Real! Individuals Prefer More Sustainable Investments”.
Besides being a General Board Member of the Fund, prof. Rob Bauer is one of the chair-holders of the Peter Elverding Chair. The focus of this Named Fund is to conduct research, contribute to educational programs, and engage with practitioners in the area of sustainable business, corporate culture and long termism.
Prof. Brauer points out that the team won the award thanks in part to the research surrounding the Chair. We congratulate the professors on this wonderful and well-deserved reward for their valuable work!
